Industry and Market Description:

The Water Sports Industry has annual hard goods sales of approximately $1 billion dollars, with 40% or $400 million dollars per year in the wakeboard hard goods category. The average wakeboard consumer is aged 16-30 years old, male and affluent. Growth in the wakeboard industry has been stagnant due to the high costs of entry into the sport. An entry level wakeboard boat costs $60,000 and a top of the line boat can easily exceed $100,000. Boat ownership in general is a barrier to entry when the cost of fuel, maintenance and storage are considered. Cable wake parks offer a much greater segment of the population the opportunity to enter the sport by eliminating the largest and most prohibitive costs. There are 27 cable parks operating in the US currently which is an increase of 375% from 2008's number of seven operational cable wake parks. There are 280 cable wake parks operating globally as of 2010.

The Lubbock Water Sports Market has annual hard good sales estimated to be $100,000. The US Census bureau reports that there are 33,294 males aged 15-29 living in Lubbock County and Texas Tech University has male enrollment of 15,294. We assume that the target population demographic for West Texas Wake Park is approximately 50,000 males aged 15-29. The Company will focus its marketing efforts on the demographic that is the heaviest users of wake products because the wake park depends on heavy users for cash streams from repeat visits as well as first time entrants.

The Company plans to build and operate a facility that makes excellent use of amenities that appeal both to families and to college students. The goal is to create an exciting place where people have a lot of fun and feel very comfortable at the same time.
